[Vereena]
I woke up to a strange sound coming directly next to me and from the constant nudging on my head. Peeling my eyes open, the first thing that greeted my sight was a small, winged figure hovering above my face.
When I ignored it for a moment, sharp talons scraped along my skin, and suddenly, something heavy immediately perched on my chest. Blinking twice as I rubbed my eyes and yawned, shaking the last bit of sleep out from my head, the little critter hissed and purred, fervently needing my attention first thing in the morning.
Callum stirred and awoke next beside, his nose burying at the crook of my neck and his arm looping around my waist a little tighter. Meanwhile, the dragon's head dropped on the other side of my shoulder, settling right on top of me like a cat with wide wings.
"He's hungry, caileag." Callum croaked, lifting his head and petting the dragon's head with his knuckles.
