I am not mad and don't know what I would feel about right now. Everything that had been told to me was still in the process of sinking inside my brain.
A little upset, maybe.
Callum sighs, his mismatched hues lifting into mine. "Caileag, are you angry with me?"
It has been a while since I have grown silent, and he must have seen the distress on my face to have him ask me that.
"I don't know, Callum. It's a lot to take in for one day." I answered truthfully, still my mind reeling over the things that happened in a blur.
"Okay, I'll leave you to your thoughts." He nodded and let go of my hands before he stood. However, I don't want him to leave me just yet.
Moving on their own, my hand rushes up and grabs the hem of his shirt, making him rigid. "No, please stay."
His eyes soften and cup my face, and he gently pulls me up to my feet, wrapping one arm around my waist.
