I couldn't move, my body refused to while my heart trampled beneath my feet.
"Gods be good!" I didn't have time to react or digest what is happening. Prince Tarquin just crossed the gap between us and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug.
"You're real! You are really here!" Disbelief still lacing his voice, freeing me from his embrace only to cup my face between his hands.
Yet, I, on the other hand, couldn't break out of my stupor, not knowing what shall I supposed to be doing. Should I run away or should greet him with the same exhilaration upon seeing him again? But all I could think was Callum. He will be here any minute by now. That immediately snap to my senses and push him away from me. Suddenly feeling his touch inappropriate and so foreign that it made my skin crawl with revulsion.
