After finding the courage to lift the cover and started reading the book again, I drowned myself in the words and was now already halfway through finishing it. Consistently sneezing with all the specks of dust penetrating into my nose holes in every turned page. At first, I kind of don't want to believe that whatever happened to that navy ship had anything to do with mermaids, but reading this book seemed to have made everything sense.
They have been wronged in so many ways. Robbed of all their treasures, slain and some were chased out of their homes. It started when the land started to raised from the water and some creatures started to evolve with it, including mankind. At first, they lived side by side, the merrow people dominating the seas while humans were on land. They allowed man to hunt on their waters with anything in return. Golds, diamonds, trinkets, and many offerings in exchange for the ocean's bounty.
