For the first time this week since they had departed from that icy region, Vereena left the egg and dashed into the deck along with him soon as Patton told them about a navy ship being spotted from afar and approaching at an alarming rate. Fortunately, Buck the blacksmith with whom he had been acquainted for a long time finished fortifying the door on their quarters and now she can leave the quarters with a bit of confidence that no one is going to steal the egg from her.
Callum could feel the anxiety reeking from her as he pulled away his gaze from the telescopic lens and turn to the petrified woman next to him. He doesn't seem too troubled but there was a hint of concern on his visage, retracting the spyglass and hand it to Patton.
