I wonder how Callum was managing this ship steering in the right direction through lashing winds and blizzards. I could feel Jewel struggling, the hull groans loudly every time they hit a huge block of the iceberg. The rest of the crew were working double time adding fuel below to provide heat around the ship through the steam traps.
Auria's spell bounded bracelet was enough for them to withstand the cold, but not the ship. Too much cold can make everything crumble in frost, destroying the wood primarily. They needed to oil the entire ship every now and then to preserve it and avoid any further damage. The sails were stiff, so they needed to be battened and tied up to their beams.
