[Vereena]
My heart almost stopped listening to the series of pounding boots thundering as they entered our quarters. I even hold my breath, daring not to let out a squeak when an insect crawled and wriggled down my spine. The dust made my nose itchy and the smell of rotten wood and old paper settled on my senses, yet I stayed still and keep my attention keen on the intruders rummaging through our things.
Fortunately, all my things had been rid of long ago and I am using Callum's clothes. There won't be any traces of a woman. After everything that had transpired, certainly, my entire existence coexisted with the map. I have no idea why, but that seems to be what things were right at the moment.
My breath caught in my throat as a shadow of a man dropped to his knees, checking underneath the bed.
"Anything in there?" Ask another man, foraging through Callum's chest, taking all his clothes, throwing all his things into the floor in a careless manner.
