[Vereena]
I was hunched in the shadowy corner of my quarter, silently sobbing and screaming Callum's name in vile inside my mind as I cradled my broken hand. That damn bloody pirate. He'd done it again. He promised not to hurt me, but he did anyway, and for what? Just because I was so happy to see an old friend of mine? Damn him!
The night had already covered the night sky. In this dim setting, the only thing that provides me a glimmer of illumination is the moonlight that filters in through the crevices of my window. Not that I care anyways. It's better this way. I can drown myself in oblivion, shut my mind from this cruel world.
