An overhead screeching caught my attention followed by the flapping wings. Lifting my head, it was Ostig that came into my sight, circling at the topmast.
"It's Ostig!" I exclaimed, gaping upon realizing that it had been a while now since I had last seen his falcon. "Where was he all this time?"
Callum followed my gaze, blocking the sun's rays with his arm, and responded to my inquiry. "Down below the deck, cooped up along with Eulisses."
"You penned him?"
I never thought that Ostig would like to be confined in small places. He said that he had been free ever since and never thought of putting him in a cage.
"It was necessary. It's to keep him safe," Callum explained.
