Chapter 1 - Hanging by a Thread

Lights flash by constantly causing a sharp pain in my head, my eyes begin to open wider and I realize half my vision is tinted in red. People clad in white clothing and masks loom over my sides pushing me to where ever I need to be. One of the doctors notices I'm awake and begins to flash another light in my eyes as if I needed to be in anymore pain than I was already in.

"Oi, are able to remember your name? Do you remember how you got here?" The doctor bluntly asked.

I try to speak but everything feels numb so the result of me trying to speak ends up being a simple groan. The doctor relieves my eyes by a bit and turns off the flashlight and keeps pushing me alongside his assistant. I don't remember anything, I don't know who I am, why I'm here, and why I'm in pain. I try hard to remember but I'm interrupted by a jolting stop which takes me out of my thoughts and brings a pain along my entire body.

"Kaghuh!" The pain takes over causing me to make a sound.

Noticing my painful remark from the sudden stop the doctor takes a look and me and asks again.

"Do you remember your name?"

I shook my head no, unable to verbally respond. I noticed the doctor narrowed his eyes.

"Shit, they were supposed to bring them in healthy, not with blunt force trauma to the back of the head". The doctor said with a painful look in his eyes.

"I heard this one gave the boys a good fight, he killed Darrel and old Winchester before Ocul was able to get him from behind with a bat". The assistant chimed in.

"So he's a fighter, would've been a good candidate for the program, but now he's just lucky to have even a half working brain". The doctor ended the conversation there.

The doctor and his assistant continued on with their procedure attaching me to machines with wires and giving me a mask connected to a machine making it easier for me to breathe. They do all this while my head starts throbbing from the light they're shining on me. The doctor was kind enough to notice my visual discomfort and placed a black mask on my eyes easing the pain of my head.

"So far he's showing signs of a concussion make sure to keep that noted". The doctor states.

The sound of a pencil scratching a paper begins as the doctor checks my injuries. After a series of diagnosis that I do not understand at all the doctor starts asking the assistant for stitches and anesthesia.

"We're gonna put you on anesthesia so if you feel yourself falling asleep don't fight it". the doctor said.

My eyes begin to fall and my body starts to relax until eventually there is nothing but pitch black.
