Meanwhile, Ava was making dinner that evening when it occurred to her that she might be the only one to eat what she was about to prepare.
She had been trying to reach Mason for hours but it kept going to his voicemail. And just about an hour ago Mason sent her a short text that he wasn't done with what he was doing.
"Don't wait up for me," his text had read.
Ava sighed as she paused what she was doing. What could Mason and Jason be up to? What do they plan on doing to Deb?
What Deb did was evil, but now Ava felt sorry for her because she knows whatever Mason and his brother have in store for her was not good.
Ava would have preferred if she was handed over to the police but she very much doubts if Mason and Jason would want to do that.
Ava was brought out of her thoughts by her phone which began to ring.
She wiped her wet hands on her apron and picked up her phone. Layla was the one calling.
