Hazel felt that she lost track of time. For some reason, she was very tired, exhausted just from what little had happened this whole day.
That drama with her family and the fact that she was just marked by the alpha would be a strong enough reason why she was dead tired.
Once she closed her eyes in the backseat of the car, thinking she would be awake when they arrived, she no longer cared about what happened next. She was too tired to even think.
However, the moment she opened her eyes, she was greeted by this pleasant sight. Well, Hazel was only a normal girl and to see Micah up close like this would be a beautiful experience, after being out cold for hours.
Oh, bless my eyes to be greeted by such a view…
Hazel blinked her eyes, she was still muddle-headed when she had that thought, since she was too exhausted to remember that this beautiful man could hear that.
"Hungry?" Micah smiled. He loved to hear her thoughts. He probably wouldn't teach her how to mask her mind for some time, because in the past, Hazel had always had her mind closed once she learned that.
Oh, a man that looked like a king talked to her…
Hazel gushed, while snuggling closer to him, which was a very welcoming gesture to Micah, as he wrapped his arms around her frame. She was so soft and warm and also fragile.
How could this clueless woman manage to have him wrapped around her little finger?
"I am indeed a king, My Queen…" Micah leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose. She blinked her eyes and yawned, seemingly struggling between continuing to sleep and getting up to eat.
"Is it a dream…?" Hazel mumbled, her eyelids drooped, as she dozed off again. "This dream is nice… I don't want to wake up."
Hazel snuggled closer and hugged him tighter. The real world was so cruel to her, thus if she could enjoy a moment, she wanted it to last forever.
"No. I don't think so, but if you want, I can make all of your dreams come true," Micah whispered into her ear and he meant every word he said. He was given a second chance and he would make sure they wouldn't have the same ending.
======================
This time, Hazel was woken up again because her stomach was growling painfully. She needed to eat. She was starving now.
Yet, her body didn't want to compromise and wanted to stick to this comfortable bed forever, especially with this warm blanket that covered her body, not to mention the warm light from the window, as birds chirped happily out there.
Wait, she felt there was something wrong with this whole scenario…
Hazel didn't remember that she had this kind of bed and there had never been birds chirping from behind the large window.
Realizing that she was not in her room, she immediately opened her eyes and pushed herself to sit down, while taking in her surroundings.
Skimming through everything there, she realized that the room did not belong to her one hundred percent. Where is she right now?
Her heart beat so fast and her stomach growled even louder. Ugh. Couldn't this wait? She needed to think where she was right now before she thought about food.
The room was one huge circle with its walls painted in deep blue with a dark trim trailing along the bottom of each wall.
The ceiling above her head, which was about four to five meters high was built like a dome with a monstrous chandelier hanging from it. The contrast of the white crystals against the dark ceiling made it one of the centerpieces of the room.
Where was she? Medieval era? She felt this was too out of date in the modern era.
The bed she was sleeping in was the largest thing in this huge bedroom. The four cornered bed sat against the far wall with a flowing blue bed canopy hanging from the ceiling, falling over each corner of the bed and skimming the carpet.
It was gorgeous and everything inside this room was screaming the wealthiness of the owner. But, who?
Hazel held her breath when she took in everything around her and was flabbergasted by it. She didn't know how to react or how she could be here. Was she still dreaming?
But from a distance, she could hear running water from a bathroom, seemingly someone was bathing now…
Should she run? Pretend to be still asleep? Or wait?
Hazel had not yet decided what she was going to do when the sound of running water stopped and there was a soft noise from inside before the bathroom door swung open.
It almost felt like a movie scene where the main character was walking through a door frame with hot steam behind his back, while water dripped from his naked body and the tips of his dark wet hair.
Hazel's jaw dropped when she followed a little droplet of water with her eyes. It fell from his hair to his cheek, slid down his jaw, then down to his neck and his chest to his stomach. Oh… he had beautiful abs…
Down to his abdomen and disappeared into the towel wrapped around his waist.
"Like what you see?" Micah's slightly rough voice snapped Hazel back to reality, which reminded her how embarrassing it was to be caught gaping at someone like that.
She hoped she didn't drool.
"What? What do you mean?" Hazel stammered, she couldn't hide her blush, as she could feel her face getting hot, especially when Micah walked closer to her with that little devilish smirk at the corners of his lips.
Hazel followed his every movement with her eyes and hoped that he tied the towel around his waist tightly, so it wouldn't drop.
Her soul left her body when Micah sat down at the edge of the bed and kissed her cheek, while whispering into her ear. "The feeling is mutual."
