A few days had passed since I had inherited this body. I had fully acclimated to this body. I could now control it without any janky movements.
It was a little embarrassing to walk at first because of the weird movements. But people mostly brushed it off because of the weakness from the fever.
I had done some small exercises to improve my body. It doesn't matter if you have magic. If you can't run or dodge spells. You will be a sitting duck.
I was in the Orphanage's garden. I was tending to the plants with other kids. Ken and his goons haven't messed with me since that day.
But they have also started spreading rumours about me. That I am a freak of nature and that I wanted to kill all of them. The Matron and the other nuns scolded them. From spreading such baseless rumours.
I was just a sickly child to them. I was watering the plants in the garden and most of the kids were a little away from me.
I was fine with it. I didn't mind them and just watered the plants. As I was doing so. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned, and I saw it was the Matron.
I smiled and greeted her, "Good morning Matron."
She smiled, and she asked me, "How are you feeling, Jon?"
I smiled and said, "I feel better now, Matron."
She smiled, and she cupped my chin and said, "You have changed a lot since that fever. You are no longer that gloomy child. I am happy to see this change in you. I wished that this change could have come naturally to you and not like this."
I smiled and shook my head and said, "I am just happy that this change occurred, regardless of how it happened. As you keep saying. God does everything for a reason. It's part of his plan."
She chuckled, and she ruffled my hair and said, "Ah, Jon. You are such a sweet child."
I smiled, and then it came to her why she was here. She smiled and said, "I almost forgot why I was here." I looked at her and she smiled and said, "Someone is here to meet you."
I had a little idea that it may be someone from Hogwarts, but who exactly did they send? I asked Matron, "Who is it?"
She smiled and said, "It is someone from that school that sent you the letter." She said after a brief pause, "She introduced herself as Minerva McGonagall… she seemed absolutely lovely. Come on, she is waiting for you."
At the same time, I was happy, excited and a little nervous. I was about to meet one of my favourite characters in real life. I quickly straightened myself and followed Matron.
She took me to the room where the interested parents would meet up with the children they liked to adopt.
I walked into the room and saw her. She was wearing her iconic outfit. Albeit without the pointy hat she replaced it with a rather enormous round hat.
She was sitting on the sofa and was drinking tea. She looked exactly like Maggie Smith.
She saw me, and she had a subtle smile on her face. Matron looked at her and she said, "This is Jonathan."
She got up from her seat and said, "Mr. Jonathan, it's very nice to meet you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Minerva McGonagall."
I bobbed my head a little and smiled and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you. As you heard, I am Jonathan and I am pleased to meet you, Miss McGonagall."
That faint smile never washed off her face. I have seen her smile but this one. It was a little different. It felt like a smile of relief… like she was relieved to see me.
Matron then said, "I'll leave you two to talk." Minerva or McGonagall, I didn't know which one to use.
She smiled and asked, "I assume you have gotten our letter and have read its contents?"
I nodded. I wanted to agree immediately to it. But if I did so. It would have been a little weird. Agreeing to go with a stranger to join a wizarding school, no less.
So I put on a doubtful face and she smiled and said, "I believe you have your doubts whether the letter is true?" I bobbed my head slowly, and she looked thrilled.
She then smiled and said, "Then perhaps this proves my claim?"
I was a excited to see what she would do. I asked her, "What do you mean?"
She said nothing. She just smiled and took out her wand and placed a coin on her palm. She flicked her wand, and the coin shook and it floated above her palm. It would have been some proof, but she knew it wasn't enough. She looked at me and again swished her wand and the coin shook violently and it turned it into a silver butterfly.
The butterfly fluttered through the air. Its silver wings shimmered, and I just looked at it in amazement. This was magic. The butterfly landed on top of my head and she looks at me and she raised her eyebrows, asking, "I believe this should be enough proof".
I was amazed, and I just nodded my head and said, "It was simply... magical. Will I lean to that in this school of yours?" I said in a hush tone, trying to keep face, "Can I become a wizard like you?"
She chuckled softly and said, "Yes, Jonathan, you can. Young wizards such as yourself will learn to do many more things at Hogwarts."
As I heard, I was excited and but then I had to act like I didn't know. That wizard that doesn't have money will get a free education from Hogwarts. So I wore a sad expression, and she looked at me and leaned in closer and asked, "What is wrong, Jonathan?"
I looked at her and said in a low tone, "I want to join your school, but I don't have any money."
She looks at me and smiled and said, "You won't have to worry about a single thing Jonathan. The ministry will take your education."
I looked at her and smiled and said, "Really? I can join?!"
She then explained a lot of things about the wizarding word and how it works. About the statue of secrecy and most importantly about Hogwarts. After she explained everything, I look at her and smiled and said, "I will gladly join Hogwarts and I would like to thank you for the opportunity."
She looks at me and smiled and said, "Good, I believe you will be a wonderful and a capable wizard in no time. But it would take effort, of course."
I smiled and enthusiastically said, "I'll do whatever it takes to be the best... I promise."
She smiled, and she got up from her seat. She said, "I will be back in a few days and I will take you shopping for your study materials and all the things you will require at Hogwarts."
She then moved closer to me and she ruffled my hair. I walked her to the door, and she walked away. I wanted to see how she would leave. She raised her wand in the air and a carriage appeared. It was being pulled my thestrals. It was my first time seeing them, albeit from a distance, but they looked oddly beautiful. She got in the carriage and she waved at me and the carriage flew away.

Greetingsss Readersss,
I hope you liked this chapter. Sorry that this chapter is on the short side. But it is because I wrote this entire chapter in like 2 hours after I woke up. Yesterday I was out gathering and making documents and unfortunately some stuff is still yet to be done. But don't worry, the next chapter will be a long one. It will be about shopping at Diagon Alley.
Ps: Whenever i say like smile for McGonagall, it's a very faint smile. I could have written like a faint smile again and again but it would have been redundant. So keep this in mind.
Also, I had like a minor question, should this ff even have a harem? Like I know, I said like. Daphne and Victoria will be there. But do I even need Daphne in this one? Or is it okay to have those two? This is the first question.
The second is that if you guys had to pick a third member, who would you pick? Please, no milf characters.
And that is it. If you liked this chapter, comment down below and throw some stones while you are at it.
