"Do you need some help?" Maria asked, eyeing the dryad twins, as the two busied themselves with cleaning the table.
Alicia smiled, "We're good. We can do them on our own, but if you really want to help, we won't stop you."
Maria returned the smile as she helped Alicia pick up the plates while Alice was wiping the table with a rag.
"I do most chores in our house, so I'm not new to this." The younger girl uttered after putting down the plates onto the sink.
"I'm grateful for your help then."
Maria and Alicia offered a smile to each other again as they started doing the dishes.
Through the window in the kitchen, Maria saw that it was already dark out there. She pursed her lips in worry, thinking of her way back to their house. Alicia, who saw that expression of Maria, lifted her wet hand to pinch Maria's cheek. Maria yelped in surprise with the cold hand and snapped her head back to Alicia.
