After discovering the conditions that the Heavens had set, no one dared to say anything and just left Alaia alone. They realized that being there wouldn't make Alaia feel better. They realized that there was nothing they could suggest to make the situation lighter. Being forgotten by the person you love is hard and painful, but being helpless, and restricted to do anything that would make the other person remember you were a thousand times worse than any other thing. It's not like Alaia doesn't have trust in Maria that she will soon get over this and remember her. She just can't help but be drowned in the thought that Maria would soon completely forget about her existence.
