Chapter 69 - 68 - Feathers

Jerry's veins on his head were so close to popping out. His grip on the longbow that he was holding was so tight that his knuckles were already turning white. His hands were twitching in want. He wanted so badly to let go of the string and let the arrow fly towards the beast, but he couldn't do that. He couldn't let go of the arrow and the string because he was afraid that, instead of the beast, the prince was the one who would get hurt. Alaia can use the prince as a hostage. She can easily turn this situation in her favor. Judging by the prince's state, he was sure that he could no longer take another hit. So he can't mess up his decisions and commands. He needs to think properly and weigh his decisions. Jerry let out a breath through his nose more forcefully than needed. The knights were waiting for him to make a decision and so was Alaia.
