"Your Highness, I brought Mr. Holmes as you had instructed." Jerry uttered, kneeling with one of his knees and lowering his head.
The prince turned around to face his servant, brows furrowed and still gripping the empty glass of wine. Don't misunderstand him. After his conversation with his father, he had drunk a few more glasses of wine and had now emptied it again. He should be at least tipsy already, but he's not. It's like he's just drinking water and not some alcoholic drink. Maybe because he was too stressed, that is why drunkenness wasn't kicking him. Or maybe because his mind is messed up right now, he couldn't realize that he's actually drunk already. Prince Owen didn't know. He had too many problems and worries already to actually think about that.
"Thank you, Jerry. You may leave us alone now." The prince said, eyeing Maria's father who had his head hanging low, staring at the floor.
