"Your Highness!" Leo called, shaking Alaia's shoulders, begging her to open her eyes or say something. Leo felt hot liquid run down his face. This is what he's been fearing to happen. If only he knew that things would get ugly the moment he heeded Alaia's request to bring Maria's family to this place, even if his Lord gets mad at him, he would never do it.
Leo doesn't have anyone to blame but himself, for letting this happen- for being blind to the situation- for being weak- for not being at his Lord's side all the time.
