''You didn't call me like you promised.'' Lucas said as soon as Kara picked up the call.
Kara sighed, staring at nothing in the ceiling. She had completely forgotten to give him a call when she was free and she felt guilty about it. Lucas had every right to be angry but she was quite surprised that he wasn't. Instead what she detected in his tone was hurt which was far worse than anger. At least with anger, she could free herself and take all of the blame but with hurt, she just didn't know what to do.
''Sorry Lucas, i've had a very tiring and annoying day.'' Kara sighed.
She wouldn't blame him if he decided to use that against her. After all, she was at fault here and if she were in his shoes, she might have done worse.
''Do you want to talk about it?'' Lucas asked.
