"How are you doing darling?"
Ariana clutched the phone in between her neck as she listened to her mother. Ariana was still at the restaurant even though it was late. She wanted to finish up with all the work that was left before going home.
"Fine mum, I'm fine. I'm still at the restaurant", Ariana said.
She was the only one at the restaurant but oddly, she wasn't scared since the area was tight with security. The whole building was flooded with light which lessened any form of panic Ariana had within her. Not that something was going to attack her, she was just being paranoid since the rate of crime was high.
"Why? You usually aren't so late", she said.
"I know mum, but I want to get some things done and this is the time I can get to it. I don't want to leave aything else for tomorrow", Ariana said.
"Alright darling, lock up as soon as you can. Your dad sends his greetings, talk to you tomorrow. Bye darling", she said before cutting the call.
