CHAPTER 13
Her smile was so beautiful as she pulled the red petals and laughingly pinched them. Being done with it, she picked up another from the ground and put it between her ears.
She was happy to destroy all those things who tried to be as pretty as her. Putting them behind to tell the people that they don't necessarily compare with her. That a rose was just all that. It was mockery to people who considered rose to be the most beautiful, something she melts with just a glance of her beauty.
It made him doubt why is that the case. To admire them when a person who is way more beautiful existed, what he once considered rose to be.
But that was the younger Creedas, the indifferent Creedas of the current was watching all this silently and once more, pittied the silly 4-years old who was at awe at what he saw.
He was fooled by this outward appearance of a snake as she showed off how dazzling her scales can be, that he made a stupid sound and was almost found out peeping back then.
"Wow!"
The girl stopped and looked in this direction smilingly as she inquiringly asked.
"Well, who is the little kiddo over ther-"
But before the scene of being found out even happened, Creedas wished it forwarded and the illusion fog did as he desired, taking it towards a recent memory.
Her elder sister, covering half her face left out of the mask, was looking down and curiously spoke out inquiring questions. Her stance was that of speaking to a little thing while having all rights to ask him.
He let the background in the scenario disappear and what was left was she and him.
He boringly chuckled and ordered the fog to make her lower his fan and give out a sincere smile.
But in the end, what came out?
It was a smile that can be completely regarded as a dull gesture. It would be nice to cover her eyes that lacked even the slightness of sincerity. But he did not. Her gaze which lacked any extra specialness is the mercy he can get at most from her stingy sister. And now, he would want it gone in an illusion?
Incredulous!
He immediately willed for a sword in his hands, and the fog formed as he desired. He held a sword and swung it, causing her sister's cheek to be deformed and turn into fog.
"No! Just let it bleed!"
The fog would always manifest to his desire and upon hearing the order, they immediately seeped back into the woman's cheek, a part of it took the form of a small bleeding wound.
He swung and swung his sword countlessly multiple times until he had a rough breathing from exhaustion. Seeing his work of art infront of again, his expression further darkened uncontrollably.
A large part of hair was cut, the dress was ravaged as red blood from the bleedings he caused colored a large part of it. But the woman was standing still, never moved, and wore the same smile. In fact, in his eyes, the smile was further widened in sarcasm and her eyes were undeniably laughing.
'Heh. And I thought it lacked realism with her following orders and giving a smile. But this time, it proved the authenticity of its realistic feature.'
It was the greatest mockery that he can even hear her voice speaking to him.
'How laughable. What have you done? And what if you even cut me bloody with your unartistic swings? My face has stayed clean since the first cut. What does it mean? Isn't, that you desire for my smile to not disappear?'
'Truly pitiful. You are undeniably letting me see you as someone pitiful.'
'That's what you get for beeing greedy. What do you even have to let me take a look at you?'
He wasn't clear which this voice came from, was it the 'person' in front, or was it within his mind in itself.
But all this, he heard it with an expression each descendant was grilled to have, an expression of uninterest.
Meanwhile outside, the little loli witch, Atalia was filled with dizziness and tried to take a short nap on the table, waiting for the two hour limit of her illusion powers to end.
*Bang*
She was immediately awoken by a loud sound and stood up from the table. First covering her ears, her sight ended by the unconscious young boy on the bed.
"What-"
The bed collapsed and she quickly used magic to impel him to float in order to avoid falling into the debris of the destroyed wooden bed.
She noticed his still opened palm that hit the bed to collapsing. She gulped as she also realized the gentle face unconscious contrary to the angry palm hit that was by the bed to bear the brunch.
"This- he completely broke the restriction of complete immobility during the time he is inside my illusion. How did he do that?"
"And-"
Again she witnessed him moved, clenching his hands this time, and veins appeared on his face, that was still gentle and at peace.
"Did he really saw what he desired? It feels like he instead saw what he loathes the most. Or...did he desired for someone's death."
Thinking so, she was filled with discomfort at the fact that the person she wants to befriend was filled with killing intent at such a young age.
"Urgh. Do I cancel it or not?"
