Sophia keenly observed the pensive look on Tyler's face as he led her down the hallway and towards the stairs. Falling a step behind him, she could make out his tight jaw as he took long strides like he wanted nothing but to get her out of the place as quickly as he could, and that made her to skitter after him.
"Tyler, you are walking too fast." Sophia sputtered behind him, her breath almost breaking in a pant.
Was he in some sort of trouble? Did his father disapprove of her coming over? Was that what this was all about? She mused.
Sophia jerked back to stop herself from bumping into Tyler's back when he abruptly stopped and turned towards her, and she raised her gaze to him.
"I'm sorry, but—" He slurred and sank his teeth into his nether lips, before letting out a dismissive sigh. "Come on," he geared his head towards the stairs and continued on his stride, leaving Sophia no option but to follow behind.
