Before Vanessa could stop herself, her lips curved in a smile of gratitude, "Thank you, Mr. Moore," she said, and Alex involuntarily smiled back at her before they continued with their shopping.
When they got to the pet store, she listened patiently as Alex lectured her on the need of a crate for Buddy instead of a kennel, and she agreed with him.
She followed Alex as he walked around the store taking a look at all the crate. She couldn't help but wonder why he seemed to give detailed attention to everything.
Now that she thought about it, she realized that maybe he hadn't been deliberately picking on her when he confronted her about wearing the same clothes to the office and asked her to change her wardrobe. It seemed like a personality issue.
He was very meticulous about even the smallest details and... "Huh?" She asked when Alex abruptly turned to her and she almost walked into him.
