Genny's brows were creased with a frown line after her phone call with Alex. Although Alex was usually cold and uncaring, he wasn't usually this harsh towards her. And it seemed like he was becoming more harsh as the days went by.
What other plan could he possibly have to make him miss their Friday hangout? From the way he had sounded she could it wasn't work related.
Something told her that something was up with Alex but she couldn't place her finger on what it was. She knew for a fact that this cold attitude of his towards her had started when she saw that lady in his car the morning after he stood her up.
Surely, Kyle must know something if Alex had a new woman in his life. Why didn't she think of asking Kyle about it when they spoke the previous day? She mused as she picked up her phone and dialed Kyle's line.
