Alex lurched at the intruder, sending them both to the floor, with Alex being on top and overpowering him. He dealt him a blow and then another.
The man groaned and tried to fight back. Alex could feel his body sway due to the alcohol still in his system, but he wasn't going to give up.
The man pushed Alex off and punched him on his torso, which had Alex groaning in pain.
He lunged after the man again, grabbing him by the foot and sending him back to the floor.
"Alex?" Vanessa's voice came breaking through the room with concern.
"Vanessa, don't come out here. Keep your door locked." He yelled from the kitchen, but Vanessa flicked on the living room's light. She stiffened in horror when she saw Alex in a brawl with an unknown man.
"Wh.. what's going on?" She stuttered in trepidation.
"Go back to your room and lock the fucking door!" Alex yelled at her as he kicked the man, trying to get off him and hustle towards Vanessa.
