"This is me saying thank you," Laurie said on a shaky breath as she held on to him while Kyle stood stiffly.
Thank you? Who kissed the opposite sex directly on the lips just to say thank you? Kyle mused, thinking that she was a very weird one, but despite how uncomfortable he felt with her body pressed against his, and the 'kiss' they had just shared, he didn't push her away since he thought she needed the hug.
Although her breathing was normal now but her body was still trembling so he let her hold on to him even though the unease he felt due to their closeness was slowly beginning to rise.
