All three of them were silent during the drive to Sophia's school, and although they all noticed the silence in the car, neither of them were willing or in the mood to break it.
Sophia was worried. She was worried about Vanessa, she was worried about Alex, she was worried about what the future held for them all. And now that she was going to school she was thinking about Tyler.
Vanessa on the other hand was uncomfortable as usual as she thought about how she would face Alex after they dropped off Sophia at school and they were alone.
She hoped they could both pretend like nothing had happened and he wouldn't raise the subject again or tease her by saying anything awkward or embarrassing.
She needed to be able to straighten out things between them today and let him know that they have found a place and would be moving out by weekend.
