"Have a sit here." Aaron shifted his body so that there was space for Ivory to sit on. "There are no chairs. The nurse had taken it earlier."
Ivory hesitantly sat down on Aaron's bed. She looked at Aaron, who was looking at her without blinking. The man looked like he wanted to say something, but not a single word came out. Both were silent and busy with their own thoughts.
"Are you feeling a bit … better?" asked Ivory, breaking the atmosphere.
Aaron nodded slowly. "It still hurts, but not as hurt as before. It's like an extra life has been added to my body."
Ivory smiled faintly.
"Thank you for donating your blood for me."
Ivory felt uneasy at the thanks.
