After last night Ivory refused dinner; the day started with Ivory feeling a little excited.
Yesterday she didn't feel ready to meet the other Dusty Islanders. She needed time to process all the information she suddenly found out. She needs space to accept the difference in her. However, this time she was determined to be a more responsive citizen.
She did feel like she needed more time to recuperate. She felt pretty bad because her days were spent not wanting to see anyone other than Aaron Magnifico or Cakara Park. She even refused a visit from her sister, Nora, on the pretext of wanting to calm down.
Ivory spent last week in tears. She cried so much that it felt like her head would split in two. She would only occasionally spend an hour or two making stars out of scraps of paper. She collected the folded stars into a large jar until it was complete.
