"Do you want me to bring a cup of milk for you?" Cakara asked Ivory.
Ivory refuses to eat dinner. She told Cakara that she wanted to be taken to her room. She didn't want to meet a lot of people first.
"No, Caka. Thanks anyway," Ivory declined gently. She climbed into bed and let go of the tiredness holding her back. "I'll just need some sleep."
"You must be tired after being examined for that long," Cakara muttered. "Do you want me to accompany you?"
Ivory wanted to refuse but instead gave a weak nod.
Cakara was surprised by the answer. He thought Ivory would refuse because she needed some alone time. However, in fact, the girl accepted his offer.
He did not want to linger any longer. He immediately climbed into bed and also lay down next to Ivory. Even though it was awkward initially, Cakara got used to it by reducing the tension in his body. He tried to relax before glancing at Ivory, staring at him without blinking.
