After bidding farewell, Ivory couldn't sleep until morning came.
Her mind ranged all over the place. Her thoughts wandered aimlessly. She felt like her chest was being pressed by a heavyweight. Her neck was strangled by an invisible hand. She felt sad but couldn't cry. Her tears didn't want to come out at all, even though she knew that crying could be a bit of relief.
The request that Ivory made was clearly rejected by Aaron. The man, in every way, persuaded Ivory not to end their relationship. Aaron didn't want to break up with Ivory. He really didn't want to be separated from the person he loved.
Aaron again reassures Ivory that he will not let anyone hurt Ivory by calling her a destroyer of people's relationships or a homewrecker. He said he would make sure Joy wouldn't bother her again. He also promised to face anybody who dared to accuse Ivory of inappropriate titles.
