"All ready in position?"
The figure in question nodded without hesitation. He looked at his colleague, who was sitting restlessly beside him. Although he was no less nervous, he tried to calm his friend with a tap on the shoulder. He smiled reassuringly, hoping his friend's anxiety would lessen.
As well as his own anxiety.
He had been sitting for an hour with a stiff body. His heart was pounding hard. Cold sweat ran down his back. His stomach was queasy, and he held himself back from throwing up.
Since being given the signal to leave for the North today, he has been nervous. He has trouble sleeping, even though usually sleeping is not something he is challenging to do. All because of the task he had to carry out, which he thought was risky.
