"Fucking idiot! Shit! What a fool you are, Aaron!"
The twenty-six-year-old man kept cursing himself. He clearly regretted his out-of-bounds stupidity. He swore that he was the stupidest man he had ever known.
Really, it wasn't his intention to shower Ivory with cruel words like the one he just said a few minutes ago. He just wanted to make the girl go home with a sense of security and comfort. He wanted Ivory to calm down and not be jumpy anymore.
However, he is the jumpy one. When Ivory mentioned Cakara's name, his emotions immediately rose. Anger seemed to overwhelm his entire rationality. He couldn't accept Ivory's defense and instead cornered the girl. As a complement, he even said if Ivory bothered him.
Hell, that's not true.
He swore that Ivory was not a burden. He was only worried half to death about his partner's condition. Unfortunately, Aaron's worries were put in the wrong words. A row of spoken sentences even became a boomerang for him.
