Gin didn't have to think twice. He held Sol's hand tight and pulled him close to him. Not satisfied, he looped an arm around Sol's waist and pulled him closer to his body.
Sol felt his heart had dropped. Eyes wide, he was about to complain when he sensed Gin's hot breath hitting the side of his neck.
His voice low, deep, and devoid of any emotion, Gin uttered against Sol's ear, "Hold on to me until we cross the lake. This is just payback for the serpent encounter."
Sol heard the loud beating of his heart. He didn't want to think about it further so he listened to Gin's words. If this was his way to say thanks, then so be it.
That was it. That must be only it.
Gin didn't seem to be mind at all. In fact, he didn't only ignore the way their skin touched. The way they were standing was too close – too intimately close that it made Sol's head dizzy. Gin wanted to say it was mutual but of course, he held back.
