"What? We can't enter the house at this moment?" Alexander asked in disbelief.
A tall man with a huge body that resembled human warriors found in books stood by the gate – gate of the house owned by the town's guardian named Torvald.
"Master said he sent someone to inform the guest's sister about it. You didn't receive it?" The guard asked.
Elisa answered quickly, "No. I might have missed it since I immediately went to see my aunt first. But, my brother, is he inside?"
The guard particularly looked at both Elisa and Alexander, his eyes unreadable as he turned silent.
Elisa felt as if something ticked her heart. She didn't know why but she felt uncomfortable with the way this guard was suddenly turning silent on her. Just what was he hiding? What was this house hiding? Where was his brother?!
