There was a faint stone hitting sound coming from the distance, seemingly a stone being thrown to a space like a person testing out the surface of a specific spot carefully as he could.
Gin's eyes finally snapped open. In a hurry, he rose from their position, head turning to the direction of the sound.
Sol quickly followed after Gin as they both stood up. The moment he did, however, he almost fell right down on the ground.
"You okay?" Gin asked as he turned his attention back on Sol.
Okay my butt! Sol wanted to scold Gin and blame him for it. He was, in fact, the main culprit after all. Although this was something that could be discussed later on. For now, they really had to prepare for what was to come. That footstep sound they heard clearly was nearing bit by bit.
Gin assisted Sol to stand up erectly. Then in a swift movement, he carried Sol and hid him behind a wall, eyes looking out on the path they had been.
