Chapter 107 - What The Lake Hides

It looked as though Barlin could feel it as well, as he maintained a heightened state of vigilance as they made their way to the lake's center.

Before them was a water body with magnificent beauty and power – the entirety of it summed up in one word: heavenly. 

It was a lake with a wealth of magical power, which manifested with warm, radiant, and flowing energy that, for a brief period of time, bestowed on anyone who experienced it a sensation of ethereal calm and solace. In other words, a heavenly place that exuded an overflowing air of comfort and peace. 

However, the manner in which the creatures survived within it was rather peculiar, just like that serpent and octopus that could talk. And because it was so unusual, it couldn't help but cause some of them to become suspicious.

After what seemed like an eternity, Elisa and Barlin made it to the middle of the lake, where a colossal tree loomed over them with its towering height and thick trunk.
