"Dark magic opens so many locked doors...but as it opens a new door, it closes many others.
Messing with such power is like playing with fire, you're Bound to burn yourself eventually." Jihi responded unhappy to be playing the teacher role, especially not for grown-ups immortals.
Trying his best not to mock the lack of enthusiasm in Jihi's answer, Ned cleared his throat "As if risking your lives and others is not enough! Not being careful with your magic will eventually lead you to lose yourself, and become the bad guy.
So I hope you two understand, Especially you Jade, Jasper at least got his shit together in the magic department." Ned replied, turning his head to face the twins.
After Ned found out from Aroon that his children were infact keeping watch on Garrick without his permission, and that Jade tried using a dark magic spell on the Fbi agent nearly exploding his head.
An angry Ned made the twins come with him to Jihi's office, for a scolding session.
Since the twins knew from a young age, that Ned was searching for his mate, a fact that the Lord Of Time wasn't able to hide from them long enough, they decided to take actions without Their mother's permission.
It wasn't unusual for the twins to conspire behind the Lord of time's back, especially when it comes to finding this special mystery person, The mate.
But they underestimated Ned, thinking he wouldn't notice what they were doing.
Although the twins's intentions were absolutely pure, each time they chased after a potential suspect it was mainly to protect the Lord Of Time, Their mother's heart.
It still irritated Ned, even if Jade and Jasper were doing this for their mother's own good, Ned wanted them to mind their own business, and stay out of harm's way as well.
Rolling her eyes, " is this supposed to like... educate us or something?" Jade said uninterested, but she instantly regretted her statement as Ned glared hard at her.
"Why am I being lectured as well? it's Jade's fault Delun is hospitalized..." Jasper quietly said, "AYE! YOU'RE NOT LETTING ME TAKE THE BLAME BY MYSELF!!" Jade quickly Shouted.
"I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO BE SCOLDED!" Jasper shouted back.
"Can you all fight somewhere else but my office?!" Jihi interfered, "C'mon Ned darling, the twins are no longer kids to get lectured here every day! besides...if they do not make mistakes, they'll never learn anything new." Jihi added , hoping the unwanted visitors would leave them to do their work in peace.
"True, Making mistakes is one way to learn, but not mistakes that could end up killing someone! I don't want any of my kids to turn out to be murderers, even by mistake...self defense is the only case I'd let something like this slip by!" Ned replied.
Done being silent, "And as for you Jasper, You are being lectured because you keep on supporting Jade's outrageous behavior." Aroon spoke up, he was clearly frustrated as much as Ned, the twins proved difficult to handle when they unite on a cause.
"Speaking of which Aroon, you can go back to what I tasked you with earlier, I don't need you here anymore...And as for you." Ned said pointing at his daughter again, " Jade you better go back to the academy, And hand over your car keys to Aroon.
No more sneaking past curfew or I swear, I'm making you work for me again, and with no pay for months!"
Saluting him like he was her captain, " Rodger that! I promise I won't cause another trouble Sir MOM!...hehe, but can you like please? not take away my new car this time, pretty pleeeeease?" Jade said smiling big, she knew that smile is an effective weapon against Ned.
It worked every single time, " Shit fine! but this is the last time! next time I'm taking all of your five cars and your Dogs." Ned said, Jade quickly hugged him happy she's off the hook, "You spoiled little shit." he added hugging her back, smiling as he did so.
"I will escort you on my way Jade, let's go now dear." Aroon spoke, dragging the taller Girl away with him, she waved goodbye at Jasper and followed Aroon through the portal.
Ned was about to ask Jasper why he wasn't leaving as well, when the boy turned to face him with an odd expression.
"What are your reasons for housing an alleged murderer all these years?" Jasper asked.
Jihi who was writing something on the document, dropped their pen as they heard this question, directed at Ned.
"What are you talking about?" Ned said, genuinely confused.
Jasper began reciting some familiar names out of nowhere, " Matilda, Socorro, Muriel, Thorn, Aroon, Lucius... I'm pretty sure there were a set of triplets in the party too... isn't it a bit too funny, that the triplets don't exist anymore, you even stopped their birth from happening? shouldn't all the victims be resurrected?
Why are you playing with fate mom?"
"What the...He's worse than Yurei!" Jihi whispered to Ned as they stood from their desk chair, slightly disturbed, " Jasper, what's the meaning of this?" Ned asked his son.
"I'll cut straight to the point...I Know about the trap party, and I know what role Aroon is supposed to play." Jasper answered hoping for a reaction, he finally came to realize Ned didn't seem too taken back by his words as he thought he was.
"And?" Ned spoke disappointed but not too surprised they're having this conversation in the first place, Shadow confessed to him in the past that she accidentally told the kids about the trap party, but she swore she never spoke a word about Aroon being the cause of the tragedy.
Ned for years, kept pretending like his children didn't know about that damn party, just like they pretended like they don't know anything about it either.
Yet still, he was unhappy about Jasper's confession, confused how he ended up knowing, as Ned never wanted any of his kids to know about Aroon's involvement, afraid they might seek revenge for their father, knowing damn well they'll end up putting themselves in danger too.
He was already watching out for Yurei, the last thing Ned needed was more problems, especially when he wholeheartedly believes that Aroon isn't the actual bad guy of the story.
Jasper, The boy with the ponytailed hair, glanced at Jihi, a smile found its way on his emotionless face "Why are you housing a murderer? unless...you don't believe he is one, Mom?" Jasper playfully asked, "And why is the great Jihi, assisting you with this?" he added.
Without a warning and in a blink of an eye, Ned was standing in front of his son, Staring at Jasper's eyes and using his ability.
Shuffling through memories, it took him few moments before he found the past memory he wanted to see, of Jasper's.
"Brave of you, to act as if you didn't already know the reason." Ned spoke glaring as he took a step back, breaking the effect of his abilities and Jasper regained his grip on reality immediately after.
"Wow mother, using your superpowers on me? Betrayal."
"You left me no choice you little shit, I'm not playing these games with you."
"Have you found what you seek mother?"
"I have, That Tacito is your source of information? that's good to know."
"Let me ask a different question then, how come everyone who died at the party still don't have their memories of their past life yet, but that hell spawn does? how come the murderer is yet again a step ahead From everyone else." Jasper Asked.
"You sure have a tendency of asking questions that you already know the answer to." Jihi responded taking their hood off.
"What the-!" Jasper's eyes went wide open.
"Shall I enlighten you perhaps, you sneaky little brat?" An unenthusiastic Jihi spoke, ushering for Jasper to take a seat.
...Meanwhile...
"WHAT THE HELL?" Fernando was beyond pissed off, as he yelled at the stranger who blocked his way with their car, while he was at the hospital parking lot, The hospital where Garrick is at.
It seems like trouble follows Fernando in every parking lot, Of any hospital he steps in.
The stranger who blocked his way, opened Their driver's door slowly, And the first thing Fernando noticed coming out of the strangersy car, was the expensive pair of brown-nude High heels the person wore, Landing elegantly on the ground.
Slowly, the rest of the stranger's body followed, with dark sunglasses on and dressed in a brown elegant suit and with its blazer just thrown around Their shoulder, the stranger was now fully standing at a height, way above the average Fernando.
For some reason, Fernando felt within his heart as he eyed the stranger, a sense of familiarity he didn't like.
"Who are you?" Fernando asked, "Fernando Bardales." The stranger responded by saying Fernando's last name instead, it further pissed Fernando off.
"What? who the hell are you?! AND HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!"
"Bardales...Your last name... means...a place covered... with thorns."
"And? what the fuck that has to do with you? how do you know me?"
"I don't understand you." The stranger with the monotone voice spoke again while removing their glasses, a pair of red gleaming eyes were now slightly glaring back at Fernando.
The shorter omega felt his heart sink, he knows those pair of eyes belong to whom, and he knows where they came from too.
"No lo comprendo...madre. ( I don't understand you, Mother)" Tacito responded confidently, despite being a mess inside, as anxiety ate him up, he kept a poker face on.
But Tacito wasn't the only one shaking within, Fernando's facial expression gave him away easily, "Tú! Estas vivo?! (you! you're alive.)" he said.
"Sí...estoy vivo y bien...no gracias a ti... por supuesto. (yes, I'm alive and well, not because of you of course)" Tacito replied.
"¿Estás aquí por venganza? (Are you here for revenge?)"
"Porque madre...¿Tienes miedo...de me? (why mother? are you scared of me?)"
Without an immediate response, the two just stared at each other silently, but only for few seconds before a strange smile formed on Fernando's face, it was a weak sad smile.
"Why are you...smiling like that...mother?" Tacito asked him.
"if only you didn't come at the wrong place and time Tacito...I would've been free to feel proud of the person standing in front of me..."
"Making me live...a lie...wasn't good enough?...you're calling me...a mistake now?"
"Sadly, you are a mistake but it wasn't your fault, it's mine...I wish I never had you."
Tears began forming in Tacito's eyes, "What do I...have to do...to have a...Mother that loves...me." he said barley pulling the words together.
" I do love you, who said I don't? you probably don't remember it but for the five years I took care of you, despite how much of a liability that was to me, I loved you... if it wasn't for Aroon, things would've stayed the same between us."
"That wasn't LOVE...what you did...to me wasn't...love.
You killed a... man and his...lover...then dare blame... him for my...misery?...that you inflicted?"
"Oh please, for the love...Fuck! who am I kidding? I have tons of issues to deal with already, unless you're here to kill me, then excuse me, I have somewhere to go to...kiddo."
"You can't just...walk...away!"
"Watch me dear." Fernando spoke using his infamous spell, Hellpass.
Tacito's blood has finally reached a boiling point as he shouted, "You didn't... even recognize me...from first glance...YOU FUCKING LIAR! COME BACK HERE! YOU DON'T LOVE ME!" but in a mere second Fernando has disappeared within the flames, leaving Tacito shaking by himself, in the empty parking lot.
