"Don't do that," Ronan said with a chuckle.
He grabbed Lucien's chin and forced the latter to look at him again.
"Never look away from me," he said. "Do you understand?"
Ronan's eyes were full of hot, burning love. Although years had passed and a lot of things happened between them, Ronan's way of loving someone never changed. When he fell, he fell completely. He was unable to lie about his feelings or hide his emotions. His living, beating heart was naked for everyone to see. Every single vein, every heartbeat, every drop of blood was visible. There was only one spot within Ronan's heart. It had always been reserved for Lucien and no one else.
Lucien could not withstand the other man's eyes. If he looked at those bewitching eyes a while longer, he might lose himself and drown in the two limpid pools of desire.
Lucien ended up closing his eyes instead to escape Ronan's burning love for him.
Ronan broke into laughter.
