The next few hours blinked by in a flash. I had raced down to the common area to find all of my companions laughing and eating breakfast without a care in the world. Theseus and Asterion both seemed especially happy as they chewed bacon with greased fingers and wet lips. They had not had many real American meals in the past few weeks, so they were understandably rejoicing in the "fine" breakfast cuisine.
Lilith reclined in her chair, feet up on the table as she tipped a mug of what I assumed was coffee into her delicate lips. Even she seemed overly relaxed. Which made it all the more awkward that I needed us to move on so quickly.
I had told everyone it was time to go, my sense of urgency giving everyone but Lilith pause. Seeing as she had little trust for Azazel in the first place, she was quick to smash her cup into the ground, jump to her feet and stand at my side.
