After almost an hour, Lukas had killed all the demons. Feeling the satisfaction and tiredness hit him, Lukas lost the strength in his legs and fell to the ground while breathing heavily. It was as if his legs weighed a ton at that moment. It was impossible to stand up.
In addition, he was dizzy, causing some discomfort in his stomach.
He chose to close his eyes to wait for the dizziness to pass. His head hurt as if someone was inside his head and was hammering his brain. He was sweating like never before. It was almost as if he had just stepped out of a shower.
The "icy" wind hit his body and gave him goosebumps.
He then took off his shirt, wiped off the sweat, and put it back on his head to protect it from the sun. Still feeling dizzy, Lukas continued to sit on the ground while watching the mess created by his hands.
All the demons had "melted" and mixed with the earth, which was disgusting. They had all been killed close to each other, so the "petroleum" had mixed and formed a large pool of a slimy liquid.
And what was most striking were the many black flames floating above that vast black lake.
Lukas smiled and then closed his eyes again. The headache started to diminish; now, he felt as if someone was sticking little pins into his brain. It was still painful but more bearable than before.
After almost 3 minutes of suffering in silence, Lukas finally decided to get up and seize the opportunity: the black flames that screamed, "Catch me!"
As he stood, a hammering hit Lukas' head.
"Ouch." He groaned in pain and held his head. At the same time, Lukas' vision trembled, and his legs wobbled. His brain rattled for a while before the pain partially disappeared.
Struggling to stand, he waited for his recovery.
His vision stabilised after a few minutes, and his legs regained their strength. The only thing that remained was the headache that hit the right side of his head. "Looks like that headache won't be going away for a while." Lukas sighed once again and took a few steps forward.
This time he could control his legs, and his steps were smooth. His feet no longer seemed to weigh a ton.
As he approached the edge of that dark, slimy lake, Lukas brought his hand close to the nearest black flame.
[ Would you like to suck this soul? Y/N ]
Two options floated in front of his eyes. Lukas selected the first option without a second thought. Then the black flame penetrated his skin and "walked" through his body before reaching his heart.
His heart palpitated stronger than ever.
[ You consumed the soul of an 'inferior Demon' ]
[ Soul being purified ]
[ Process completed ]
[ You received 50 soul points ]
"50?!" Seeing the last message, Lukas couldn't help but shout that out loud. "How many flames are there around here? Maybe more than 40? If each of them gives 50 points... Will I get 2,000 points?"
Lukas opened the system and looked at the soul bar. He had really obtained 50 points with only one flame.
His heart caught fire at that moment. The excitement hit him, making his heart race and all problems like fatigue and headache disappear. One after another, Lukas consumed half of the flames.

When he reached half of the flames, the system issued a warning that caught Lukas off guard.
[ You have reached the limit of souls that can store in the first level ]
[ To increase your limit, open the reward system and get a higher limit from our trusted merchant "System Lord" ]
"Sometimes that system talks as if all this is just a jest." Lukas smiled bitterly and then opened the reward system.

[ Dagger - 200 ]
[ Sword - 250 ]
[ Bow - 150 ]
[ Arrow - 10 ]
[ Spear - 301 ]
[ Magic Staff - 590 ]
[ Strengthening Potion - 610 ]
In addition to these, they had many other items that could cost up to 100,000 soul points. Items with legendary names and unique icons that glowed in many different colours, like a rainbow.
Lukas could only feel excitation by seeing all those items that cost thousands and thousands of souls.
What could one of these items do? He didn't know, but maybe it would have a power that could easily rival an army of hunters of the highest rank. That was his perspective on what such items could do.
But before he could get them, he had to increase his limit to store that absurd and unrealistic amount of points.
[ Limit Increase to 2000 points - 1000 ]
It was the first option on the list. It was highlighted and glowed in an eye-catching navy blue colour, practically begging Lukas to buy it. Since he needed it, he clicked the [ Buy ] button
[ You bought 'Limit Increase to 2000 points' ]
[ 1000 points were deducted from your bar ]
[ Souls remaining - 0 ]
[ Bar update in progress ]
[ Change applied ]
After receiving the last message, Lukas opened the main system tab again and looked at the soul bar below his numbers ( strength, agility, etc.) This time the numbers below the bar were [ 0/2000 ]
