Cross exited the elevator and walked straight to the parking lot. He just wanted to quickly get back to Cassie and ask her why she treated Emmy like that.
He could understand kidnapping Emmy to negotiate with Meiling and John, but he could never forgive her for allowing the kidnappers to intimidate Emmy and even vilify her.
