The policeman looked at James and explained formally: "We need to ask this Miss to come back with us to take a statement." When James saw Perez lying on the ground, his face immediately darkened.
He had already made it so obvious to Perez the last time, but he didn't expect Perez to not give up and stop crying without seeing the coffin. "We don't have time," he got ahead of Emmy and answered: "Our flight leaves at around ten."
"Then you probably won't be able to fly today," The police still spoke in a businesslike manner: "This Miss is injured. The ambulance will be here soon. You can't leave until this matter is settled. Let's reschedule the flight."
