Hazel walked into her room, it was a one room apartment but it was neat and spacy, she walked straight to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of mineral water and walked back to the sofa to watch her favorite show, people would think she was a normal girl living a normal life but who would have thought that this twenty three year old girl was all about.
" time for battles of razz" she murmured as she adjusted on the sofa, that was her favorite show and she wouldn't miss it for anything in the world, that was what saved the bartender from her, she was in a haste to watch her favorite show.
a soft rap on the door brought her back to Earth, she frowned, who dared to disturb her time
" who is it?" she called without standing up
" it's Rocky" the person replied from the other side, she went to the door and opened it, " what are you doing here Rocky?" she asked going back to her show
" I just wanted to make sure you good" he replied sitting down.
she sighed," I already told you Rocky, it's not going to work, we are only cut out on business, am I slacking off on you?" she asked looking at him
" no boss, you are not, I just really like you" he answered back
" and I have told you a million times Rocky, stop it or I will be forced to do something I don't want to, we are friends it should remain like that"
" okay boss" he replied and made to go
" safe" she called at his retreating figure
" Lucius has killed him"
she Chuckled," I knew that bastard was up to no good, I think I need to deal with him soon before he does something else" she said almost to herself.
" I will be off now boss" Rocky said and walked out, ignoring him, she locked her door and went back to her show.
It was twelve in the afternoon the next day, Romeo Galz walked into a room filled with several people and they all kept quiet the moment he got in the middle of the gathering.
" I will just go straight to the point, I want all those connected to Lucius to stand up right now and surrender the weapons they came in with unless they want war" he declared with bloodshot eyes.
murmurs went up from the crowd, everyone was surprised yet no one was moving.
" for the last time" he declared again, still no one moved and in a few minutes he brought out his gun and " boom!!!!" a man was lying in the pool of his own blood at the far end of the room, after few seconds, another was lying dead at another end, panic was written on the faces of the people as they began to scurry out, the people he called for.
" so you wanted me to show you I was not joking before you come out?" she snapped angrily
" sorry boss" they whispered as they knelt in front of him
" take this two bodies and go back to Lucius and tell him to back off, this will be my last warning to him" he barked and they scurried away, he discussed a few things with the rest people and made his way back to the office.
" welcome boss" his assistant Gary greeted as he entered his office
"Tell Christy to make me coffee" he ordered
" okay boss" Gary replied and walked out.
his mind drifted to when his father had introduced him to the underworld, his family was a mafia family and he was introduced to the dark side at a very young age, he had lost his mum when he was six years since then his father elder Galz had taken care of him and his brother and introduced them to the dark world at a tender age, he had seen more blood than cash even if he was a filthy rich man, his thoughts were interrupted when the door to his office opened and Gary entered with the coffee.
" why didn't Christy bring it?"he asked as he collected it
" that girl keeps acting weird with me, am trying to avoid her"Gary replied as he sat down
Romeo Chuckled a little," man I always keep asking why you are scared of girls, she likes you, I have always told you that"
" I don't like her boss, her dress sense is a big turn off for me, you know I like them smart" he replied laughing.
" I sure do" Romeo replied as she gulped his coffee
" well you have a lunch meeting with the Remirez by 2"
" okay then, prepare for that, we will go together"
" can you let me off this time?"
Romeo looked at him, " I think I pay you too much now, you are slacking off" he replied
" just this once okay, I will not slack of next week" he replied all smiles
" I have heard those words more than I can remember man" he replied
" please bro, she's hot you know"
Romeo had a " are you ditching work because of a woman look on his face,"
" thanks man, I love you" Gary said and walked out of the office all smiles.
To most people Gary was just an assistant to the big boss but Romeo treated him more like a brother and they were best buddies, both families were well off but Gary decided to work for his friend rather than his family because his father would not allow him slack off like Romeo does and the latter doesn't care, he could handle his work by himself.
glancing at the clock for the last time, Romeo picked up his suit jacket and made his way out of the office for his meeting.
