He just didn't anticipate how bad Patrick L's reception was towards the entire affair. He was yelled at by his boss, got an earful for almost an hour at how Frost Flower had bypassed the chain of command by ordering Reynaldo directly instead of running that through him first. Reynaldo, a soldier or employee he was, obviously didn't have much visibility or visionary sense that he had to involve Patrick L in the decision. He just nodded and apologised multiple times in front of him that he had participated and allowed it to happen.
"You're an accomplice, too, you know," Patrick L emphasised the word accomplice. Reynaldo only nodded at that time, because really, when you got such an earful, how else would you react? Nodding and saying sorry were the only things he could think of, and those didn't even lessen the amount of scolding, so why bother, right?
"What should I do, then?" he asked Patrick L.
