Stephanie dried her tears and normalised her breath.
"I'm going to call Frost Flower, if that's fine with you."
Mark nodded, showing no concern at her action.
"Mark, I can't promise I won't contact him anymore."
Mark frowned his forehead upon hearing this. "Why does it matter for you to promise me that?"
The wording was odd. It sounded like Stephanie didn't want to disappoint Mark with this.
"Because . . . because you're my boyfriend, you're my partner. I suppose you don't want me to be still in touch with my ex. But the situation right now is a bit unfortunate, with Frost Flower at the helm of our rival project and whatnot." Stephanie fidgeted with her fingers again.
