Mark's voice reached her ears again. "How come you're a doctor?"
This incredulous tone piqued Stephanie's interest. Who was it at the door that spiked Mark's sarcastic tone? A gentle person like that, it took some shared bad past to make him speak in such a tone.
Stephanie made her way to the front door. There he was, Mark, holding the door and blocking the way with his body, preventing whoever was facing him from entering. From this angle, Stephanie couldn't see it clearly.
"Mark?" she called.
"Oh, so it's you who's sick. I thought Chihiro was joking when he told me about you."
Why does the voice sound familiar? So the guest knows me and has the information about me from Chihiro. Chihiro must know it from Frost Flower because Mark informed him earlier this morning.
