As Mark worked on the faucet in the bathroom, Stephanie took out a plastic container of yellow pickled fish. She prepared it on a whim after restocking her fridge early morning, thinking that Tania might appreciate someone cooking for her.
The smell of the lemongrass was still fragrant when the container lid was removed, revealing a bream in a yellow broth. The fish looked succulent, the flesh was juicy and plump. Carrot and cucumber slices were piled over the fish's tail, resulting from the container being shaken a bit during the walking.
Pouring the dish over a shallow bowl, she warmed it up in the microwave, so Tania would have something to eat when she was done with the tap problem.
The refreshing, mouthwatering scent beckoned the girl to come.
"So fast?" Stephanie commented.
