I look around me and sigh. Amee brought me to the tavern in the city and people have been giving us looks.
"Amee, I know that you wanted to talk over food…." I say. "It's just that… you still haven't gotten a proper outfit on for being in public…."
"It's uncomfortable, I know, but I can't buy anything right now." Amee says.
I think to myself, 'Yet she still brought me out to dinner… The owner seems to give her free stuff… I'm sure to be buying my own portion…'
"Well, what is it?" I ask. "What do you want to talk about?"
"I wanted to know what you can do." Amee says. "Earlier I was just a little shocked about you still having everything, I forgot about what i asked before."
'A little? She was probably more jealous than shocked.' I sigh and look at Amee.
"I'm a mixed breed who can use two different types of abilities and magics." I say.
"How could you be a mixed breed?" Amee says. "Those are really rare to come by."
"Well at first my character was human but I had it mate with a goddess player…." I say. "We were only trying to test our abilities together at first. Though we went from that to getting into a relationship."
"You got into a relationship with a goddess player." Amee looks at me in disbelief.
"I swear, I did!" I say. "It just went to us breaking up later on since she wanted to be with a god player."
"Then…?" Amee says.
"Then, I was the one given the child seed and started using it." I say. "It wasn't intentional but it became my main character afterwards. I made it grow so much, my past main became old…"
"So, technically, the past main would be your father." Amee states. "Why not look for him?"
"He could be in the next city…" I mumble.
"What?" Amee says. "Whatever you just said, I couldn't hear anything."
"Oh, it's nothing." I say.
"Alright, let's get our fill for tonight and find out what to do tomorrow." Amee sighs.
"I'm not sure if you're noticing this, but…" I say. "I'm looking at everyone who's staring at us and…"
"What?" Amee says.
"I'm staring to understand why they're staring at us…" I look away.
I point to the direction of Amee's legs and she looks down. Then looks back up at me in complete embarrassment. I tap on my bracelet and take out a long coat. I get more stares after I grab it floating in the air with tiny blue sparkles falling and vanishing. Walking over to Amee, I grab her wrist without thinking and place the coat over her.
"What…?" Amee says. "Why did you…?"
"Don't question it, now just wait outside." I say. "I need to go pay."
Amee nods and scurries out to wait. I walk over to the tavern keeper and take out a bag full of silver. Though, he stops me and says I don't have to pay.
"I know who you two are." He says. "I can help you if you want information."
"Wait, how do you know us?" I ask.
"You were brought here right?" He says. "I'm a victim to that."
My eyes widen to the thought of meeting another player. Then, the tavern keeper leans in to whisper.
"This isn't a game anymore, this is realistic." He says. "I can tell you some solid rumors I've been hearing from others who passed this place."
"Wait, if you were taken here, how are you a tavern keeper?" I ask. "In a popular one at that."
"It's because I've owned this tavern through generations." He responds. "I know I'm already getting old, but I do have a family to take care of in here."
"Wait, families actually work for people like us?" I say.
"Yeah, at least from my perspective." He looks at me up and down. "Wouldn't you have any past characters to call family?"
"Uh- I'm a little complicated with family right now…." I say.
"Huh." He says. "Well if you wanna know anything from me, then come and pay anytime."
"Thanks man, oh yea!" I smile. "I never got your name, I'm Fugo."
"Artirias' Best Tavern Keeper," He says. "Orion Blemoch."
'That's the family name of ancient royalty… Well it would explain the hint of a Russian accent coming from him.' I smile and look back at where Amee is supposed to be waiting. To my surprise, she's been peeking over the entry. I look back at Orion and say my goodbyes as I walk over to her.
"What were you talking to him about?" Amee asks. "Why did you take so long?"
"He's the same as us, we'll come back a little later to talk more." I say. "If you make a fuss about it I'll leave you behind tomorrow."
Amee stays silent for a while afterwards. I take her around the city to a tailor and get a new outfit.
"You know for a fact you can get a proper outfit even if I'm going to pay." I say. "I highly recommend it."
"Well, for your information, you're wearing a t-shirt that says you love women." Amee says. "Why not respect their opinions?"
I sigh and let her be. I look outside and see that the sun is close to going down. I walk over to Amee and inform her of it.
"We'll be heading back out in a bit." Amee says. "This coat is said to be 'The Coat of the Xil Family, worn by Jastria Xil.' It's legendary here!"
I look to the coat she holds out and I sigh. I see thin small strings of dark energy flowing around it internally. I look to Amee who seems to be adoring it.
"I take one look and I already know that it's tainted by dark territory." I look closer. "That's way too expensive."
Amee looks at it and look at me. "It's only a few precs," She looks again. "Yeah, only a few 100,000,000 precs."
"Why do you have to be so calm about it…?" I sigh. "I'm not get-"
Amee throws the coat over my face in response. I follow Amee and stop her.
"I'm not getting this, you might've been rich, but I'm not." I yell.
Amee ignores me and goes along with looking around. I give up and just follow her wherever she goes.
"Look!" Amee says. "This is Al Krelin's dagger! 'The Fierce Dragon'…. you need to get it!"
"Hm…" I look at it. "Well… sure, why not." I sigh.
"It has special abilities, you know it's secret one?" Amee asks.
"I've heard of people talking about there being a secret one." I pause in thought. "Wait, how is it that there are some things here from their group? I thought that they were extremely rare, basically legendary."
"The place is run by their family and friends." Amee says.
"Does it say that somewhere? Or am I just not paying attention…?" I ask.
"There are pictures all over the place of them." Amee looks at me, disappointed. "Try paying attention more, Fugo."
I sigh and look around, I really didn't notice it, there were dozens of pictures with them plastered all over the walls. Later on, Amee kept grabbing more and more expensive things. I had take out millions of my precs, I hope I never shop with her again.
"Alright, you got what you wanted." I say. "Let's go to my home."
"Home?" Amee laughs. "You actually have a home?"
"Wha- Of course I have a home!" I say. "It's in the next city…"
"Huh, I think the next city is…" Amee starts.
"The first city of Soltica." I say.
"Oh yeah! I forgot these areas are in between the map." Amee says. "But Soltica has way more land in their cities. How can someone like you live in Soltica?"
"I know what you're thinking, 'He hates using his money and Soltica is so expensive!' right?" I say. "Well, for your information, Amee, I was given a home there for free from my main character that is now technically my father."
"So you got generations of free rent in Soltica!?" Amee gasps. "How did you manage that!?"
"It was from the goddess player as a parting gift...." I say.
"Huh, I'm starting to believe that you actually dated a goddess player." Amee says.
"Whatever, you don't have to believe it, it's just a self known fact." I say.
Amee looks at me and sighs. We start heading out towards the border to Soltica. Once we get there, I show my ID and go inside taking Amee with me as a visitor.
Since it's the first city, my home wasn't that far away. It was close to the potion shop run by a sweet immortal old lady. I would always go to her to get my fill before heading out to the forests.
"Isn't that Flinda?" Amee spots her from afar. "She's the one who sells potions, right?"
"I always got potions from her, she's amazing with prices." I say. "Oh, maybe she could help us with our 'world switch' problem!"
I begin walking towards her and Amee follows. Looking around, I slowly breathe in and look at Flinda. She gives off a soft smile to me.
"How may I help you young one?" Flinda asks.
"Um, I heard you can give advice on 'other world' problems." I whisper.
"Ah, come inside, both of you." Flinda says.
I turn to Amee and shurg my shoulders with a grin. She rolls her eyes and walks in front to go inside. I follow in and I am shock to see the interior. This was mainly a side shop for potions, but it's filled with so many different things. I can even see things that look like electronics, mostly that big screen on the wall looks like a tv....
"Now let us begin, what is it that you need my assistance in?" Flinda starts.
I look and Amee and she nods. I start talking and Flinda listens to me explaining our situation. 'I hope she can really help us here....'.
