'What an interesting kid. He knows of my identity which is only known by a select few. Let's give him a little test.'
The old man approached Druak with a smile and extended his hand out for Druak to shake.
Druak quickly realised what the shop keeper was thinking and extended his hand out. A rush of mana flowed out from both Druak and Mr Draught's hands, a clash of there mana continued for a few moments and it soon became clear that Mr Draught's purple like mana was far superior to Druaks, which barely lasted 5 seconds against the onslaught of Mr Draught's mana.
The shop keeper rubbed his chin and a glimmer escaped his eyes as he looked towards Druak. "Hmm. Interesting. I don't recognise this mana. May I know who your parents are."
"I'm not from a noble family, so if you think I inherited my mana from them you're mistaken."
Druak had guessed what Mr Draught was doing instantly. He was hoping to find out where Druak got information about him from, and the best way to do this was to find what kind of mana he used, as it would lead Mr Draught to which family Druak came from. This was something commonly used, especially when interrogating people, as no matter how well trained you were you couldn't hide your mana origins which each person inherited from their parents or descendants.
"Oh. So are you saying you're not a child from a noble family that was pretending to be low born. Then that makes your mana all the more impressive. What class are you learni…"
Mr Draught quickly stopped what he was saying as he realised he was too caught up in his curiosity and made a mistake, which was something that was incredibly disrespectful, he had asked someone what their class was. This was something that wasn't just impolite to ask for but frowned greatly upon by almost everyone in the entire content. The specific class you're learning was something seen as sacred, especially when it was one as high ranked as Druaks.
There were of course people that told others about their class but this was something the person with the class had to say without being prompted for it and if you ever did have to give information about your class it was almost never specific, this was also why Druak was so impressed with Astra's Dragon eye skill.
Bowing slightly Mr Draught said."Sorry for my rudeness. I guess it would be best for me to just ask you straight forwardly." Mr Draught looked Druak straight in the eyes and asked. "How do you know of my identity and which family divulged this information to you."
The shop keeper was so curious to find out Drunk's identity that he hadn't realised that the earlier commotion had caused a large crowd to gather, Druak on the other hand wasn't so blinded by curiosity and decided to cut their conversation short. "Sorry about this but it looks like it might be better if we talk about this another time. Once I'm back from the mission that I've been given, I'll be sure to come back and have a proper talk with you."
Druak speaking brought Mr Draught back to reality and he soon said his farewells to Druak after getting a promise from Druak that he'd return and tell him more about how he knew his identity. Once their conversation was over Mr Draught went back to his workshop behind the shop to continue with his potion making and Druak went over to look for the potions he was after.
The first one he grabbed was a [Low tier Poison Resistance potion] which would give the individual a weak resistance to poison for around 30 minute. This was the potion that would be the most valuable for Druak while on this mission as the majority of plants and monsters on mount du shan were poisonous and if he didn't have this potion it could lead to instant death.
Once Druak grabbed 20 of the poison resistance potions he then went over to the [Minor tier healing potion] and grabbed 5 of them, these potions could only heal small wounds but it was better than nothing and due to healing potions being harder to get so they were much more expensive, especially at higher tiers, which is why Druak only bought the lowest tier of healing potions.
The cost of all of the potions added up to 600 academy points, which was far less than what Druak expected. After Druak was done with his potion collecting he went over to Isaac who had only purchased a [Mid tier healing potion]. Despite it only being 1 potion it was worth 800 academy points, which was more than all Druaks potions combined.
This potion was worth the price. However, as it instantly healed all of Isaac's wounds and even made Isaac feel completely restored as if he had just woken up from a long night's rest.
"You got everything you need." Isaac asked as he put the potion bottle into a bin close by.
"Yeah. I think we should head to the blacksmith shop since I don't really have a weapon other than my magic."
Isaac began to have a smug expression on his face as he said. "You should have learned fire magic, then you wouldn't need a weapon."
Druak shrugged as he responded. "Never hurts to have a backup."
Unlike the potion shop, the blacksmith shop didn't have any conflict within it so both Isaac and Druak were able to get in and out rather quickly. Druak had purchased a steel sword with a lesser durability rune on it, to prevent it from breaking till Druak could make his own weapons.
Druak had also bought some leather armour made from a 1 stage monster just to be on the safe side. Isaac on the other hand only bought a lesser magic staff, which was what Druak expected from someone like Isaac, who was completely obsessed with strengthening his fire magic and nothing else.
Now that they had their potions and equipment ready it was time for them to set off, but unbenoced to them a young girl had been following them for quite some time, at least till Druak unintentionally noticed her when she jumped due to a stranger barging past her.
At first, Druak sent out his killing intent, as he thought one of the nobles were after him but after realising who it was he quickly calmed down and started walking towards her.
Ten minutes earlier
Freya had been told to collect some potions from Mr Draught. Despite being an incredibly shy person she still went there as it was something her mother requested after Freya and she made up.
As Freya was walking towards the shop she suddenly saw Druak and Isaac leaving it and without realising it she hid behind one of the shop buildings.
'What's he doing at the potion shop. Is he going on a mission.' At first, Freya wasn't sure about this as she remember the president saying that their class didn't have to go on missions, but then she remember Druak asking if he would be allowed to even if he was in the top class.
Freya rushed into the potion shop and went straight into the back, where Mr Draught was. Once there Mr Draught waved at her. "How've you bee…" But before even getting a chance to greet her Freya had already left Mr Draught's workshop, rushing to find where Druak had gone off to.
And after she had finally caught up to Druak she decided to keep watching him quietly from outside the smithy, as she was too shy to go straight up to him. As Druak was leaving the smithy Freya had gotten too distracted and didn't realise the person going past her which led to her jumping out of the way from fright and leading back to the current situation.
Back to the present
After realising who it was that was following him, Druak walked towards Freya who was now frozen stiff due to her embarrassment.
"So how long you planning to stay hidden behind that building." Druak said whilst smiling at Freya, he felt no hostility so he decided it would be best to play what had happened off as nothing serious.
Freya clutched the bag of potions she had been holding, close to her chest and muttered. "Oh. Um. So how have you been."
Druak was completely thrown off by this random question and looked at Freya confusingly before responding. "I'm good. Why do you ask."
Freya still seemed incredibly uncomfortable and ended up taking a few breaths of speech before she could finish what she was trying to say. "Oh. Well. I heard you were in the medical ward. So. I thought you might have been badly hurt."
Druak rubbed his head. "Oh yeah. I completely forgot I was in the medical not that long ago, wasn't I." Due to him mainly sleeping and training even in the medical ward Druak barely even realised where he had been staying (The medical ward) this made him ignore the fact that he hadn't even been in classes for the majority of the time, so it only made sense that Freya would be wondering how he was doing.
"Sorry to cut this conversation short Freya, but me and Isaac are heading on a mission so we should probably start heading off." Not letting Freya say another word Druak waved to her and started running to the exit of the Academy, Isaac following closely behind him and also waving goodbye to Freya.
